Okay, it's several years back. I'd been designing my own roleplaying games for a while and I wanted to see them... well, not published. I didn't care to have books and UPCs and my name printed in ten-point. What I wanted was for my games to be out there, being read, being criticized, being played. I'd gamemastered a handful of campaigns and countless one-shots on my own, but (with one exception) that was it, and I'd run a bunch of sessions at conventions within a few different states but, again, that's all. And I wanted my stuff out there. So, a website. Intermittent updates. Not very original, but good enough for now. Unlike the big names, this site isn't a venue solely for previews and supplemental material, and unlike the small names, it's not a way for me to break into indie RPG publishing. I post games I've written for gamers to use and play. Rules and setting and adventures and variants and metaplot and theory, the whole mess... it goes here, on this domain. I'll answer questions and respond to feedback and, with your help, the games will improve. The project is mine, but it's not for me; it's for the community of you experienced and aspiring roleplayers who like what you've found here, so I want all the input you're willing to give. That's the premise. It's not fancy, but hey, it's free. Enjoy. |
